Uripi Kahorongo-Kauta from Namibia receives the Golden Planet Award 2024

She receives the Golden Planet Award for her commitment to the environment, social justice and the common good in Namibia.

Her son Himee Kahorongo accepted the award on behalf of his mother Uripi Kahorongo-Kauta from Namibia.

She is active both in the real estate sector and in sustainable agriculture, where she promotes environmentally friendly agricultural practices such as crop rotation and resource conservation through her farm OKM Fruits and Vegetables. Her commitment to protecting the environment and growing food is a central part of her work.

She is also heavily involved in education and school projects. She supports pupils and students by donating school materials and offers practical training opportunities on her farm. Her actions, such as planting trees at schools and recycling furniture for classrooms, demonstrate her commitment to education and environmental protection.

She also promotes green solutions in the real estate sector by implementing sustainable housing projects and promoting alternative water and energy solutions. Through her magazine “My Home”, she creates awareness for sustainable building.

In the area of humanitarian aid, Uripi is committed to socially disadvantaged communities, including through the Buy a Brick Project, which promotes the construction of houses for less privileged people.
